Hinako Sakuraoka is currently working as a dancer in the musical Lion King in Hamburg. She graduated from the Kirov Academy of ballet in Washington DC in 2007. Hinako has worked with the Dresden Semperoper, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Poznan grand theater, Hagen Ballett, and Musik Theater im Revier as. She has been a certified GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS Trainer since 2012 and also is a licensed pre-trainer for both methods. She has completed the therapeutic courses, specialised equipment courses(JSB, archway), and level 2 for both methods. Hinako worked for 5 years in Primus Physio Training in Düsseldorf , teaching the GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS methods, as well as incorporating the GYROTONIC expansion system in to the Ballett am Rhein and teaching the dancers as a means of injury prevention or rehabilitation. Since 2013 she has been performing in musical theatre and Operettes, such as the Phantom of the Opera in Hamburg, and the musical circus Knie in Switzerland. At the moment, apart from being the part of the musical Lion King, she is also working as an assistant to Julius Frack the illusionist, and teaching GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS pre training courses in Germany.
