Silvia Magagni

<p>Silvia joined the music staff of the Prague State Opera as a house repetiteur in January 2022. She has already worked on several productions: <em>Der Rosenkavalier</em> with Gabriel Feltz, <em>Der ferne Klang</em> with Karl-Heinz Steffens, <em>Aida</em> with Maurizio Barbacini, <em>Lady Machbeth of Mčensk</em> with Hermann B&auml;umer, <em>Le Grand Macabre </em>with Jiř&iacute; Rožeň, <em>La Boh&egrave;me,</em>&nbsp;<em>Madama Butterfly, Lucia di Lammermoor</em>,<em> Cavalleria/Pagliacci, L'Elisir d'Amore </em>and<em> Otello </em>with the State Opera chief conductor Andriy Yurkevych. Upcoming projects in Prague include <em>Manon Lescaut</em> and <em>Parsifal</em>. During summer 2023, following an invitation from newly appointed artistic director Beatrice Venezi, Silvia worked as a repetiteur in all three productions of Taormina Arte Festival (<em>Trittico, Turandot, CavPag</em>).<br /><br />As a freelance repetiteur, Silvia has also worked for many leading international institutions in Italy and the U.K., such as Opera Holland Park, The Hall&eacute;, Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester University, BBC, Stresa Festival, La Biennale di Venezia, and Cantiere Internazionale d&rsquo;Arte. She also played for various projects in collaboration with the educational departments of Welsh National Opera, Opera North, and Glyndebourne Festival Opera.</p> <p>Silvia was the Junior Fellow Repetiteur at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester from September 2017 to July 2019. During her time at the RNCM she was mentored by David Gowland &amp; Paul Wynne Griffiths (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden), and Steven Maughan (Glyndebourne Festival Opera).</p>
