<p>Der deutsche freischaffende Choreograf und Tänzer <strong>Tillmann Becker</strong> wurde in Indonesien geboren. Er begann seine Karriere als Tänzer beim Coburger Stadtballett in Deutschland, wo er auch als Physiotherapeut arbeitete. Später zog er in die Niederlande, um sein tänzerisches und choreografisches Vokabular zu erweitern, und schloss seine Tanzausbildung an der ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnheim ab. </p>
<p><br />Engagements als Tänzer führten ihn u.a. an das Staatstheater Braunschweig, das Theater Bielefeld, das Ballett des Landestheaters Flensburg, das Unterwegstheater Heidelberg, das Thalia Theater Hamburg und das Staatstheater Kassel. Neben freien Projekten in ganz Europa war er in Inszenierungen von Marco Goecke, Angelin Preljocaj, Roy Assaf, Amos Ben-Tal, Noa Shadur, Jeori Dubbe, Gregor Zoellig, Simone Sandroni, Henrietta Horn, Hans-Henning Paar, Helena Waldmann, Ashley Lobo, Jan Pusch und Katrín Hall zu sehen.<br /><br />2012 gewann er den 2. Preis beim internationalen Choreografenwettbewerb No Ballet" in Ludwigshafen. Mit seinem Duett "The one we act, the other we are", das er für Milan Kampfer und sich selbst choreographierte, wurde er für den "ITs Krisztina de Châtel Award" in Amsterdam/Niederlande nominiert. Er war zweimal Halbfinalist beim "Internationalen Choreographischen Wettbewerb Hannover" in Deutschland.<br /><br />Für seine Arbeit "Babylon" erhielt er ein Stipendium der TANZAllianz, einer Kooperation zwischen dem UnterwegsTheater Heidelberg und dem Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. Seine letzten Arbeiten "baby on fire" und "untold paradox" wurden live und online im LOT-Theater e.V. Braunschweig aufgeführt. Sein therapeutisches Wissen und sein kulturelles Erbe sind fester Bestandteil der Inspiration in seiner Arbeit.<br /><br />Als Gastdozent trat er an verschiedenen Stadt- und Staatstheatern in Deutschland auf und unterrichtet für die Künstleragentur ZAV. 2016 war er Gastprofessor an der Shenzhen Arts School (China) in Kooperation mit TanzArt OstWest und der Tanzcompagnie Gießen unter der Leitung von Tarek Assam.<br /><br />2021 choreographierte und performte Tillmann TV Idents für 3sat, einen deutschen Fernsehsender mit kulturellem Schwerpunkt. Ab 2022 tourt er mit dem russischen Regisseur Kirill Serebrennikov und tanzt die Eröffnung des Festival d'Avignon in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Thalia Theater Hamburg und dem Gogol Center Moskau. <br /><br />Für die Spielzeit 2022/2023 wurde Tillmann als Probenleiter für die Tanzkompanie des Staatstheaters Kassel / TANZ_KASSEL unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Thorsten Teubl engagiert.<br />Für die Spielzeit 2023/2024 ist Tillmann als Gast-Probenleiter für die Tanzkompanie des Staatstheaters Braunschweig unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Gregor Zöllig engagiert. <br /><br />Zuletzt assistierte er der Choreografin Sita Ostheimer bei Produktionen am Volkstheater Rostock, Theater Pforzheim, Staatstheater Kassel, Staatstheater Braunschweig und für das Xiexin Dance Theater in Shanghai, China.<br /><br />In diesem Sommer wird Tillmann als freischaffende Künstlerin nach China zurückkehren, um beim "VANGUARD BODY International Workshop" des Shanghai Xiexin Dance Theatre 2024 zu unterrichten.<br /><br /><br /><strong>_________________________________________</strong>*</p>

<p> German freelance choreographer and dance artist Tillmann Becker was born in Indonesia. He began his career as a dancer with the Coburg City Ballet in Germany, where he also worked as a physiotherapist. He later moved to the Netherlands to broaden his dance and choreographic vocabulary and completed his dance training at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem. <br /><br />Engagements as a dancer have taken him to the Staatstheater Braunschweig, the Theater Bielefeld, the Ballet of the Landestheater Flensburg, the Unterwegstheater Heidelberg, the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Staatstheater Kassel. In addition to independent projects in Europe, he has performed in works by Marco Goecke, Angelin Preljocaj, Roy Assaf, Amos Ben-Tal, Noa Shadur, Jeori Dubbe, Gregor Zoellig, Simone Sandroni, Henrietta Horn, Hans-Henning Paar, Helena Waldmann, Ashley Lobo, Jan Pusch and Katrín Hall.<br /><br />In 2012 he won 2nd prize at the International Choreography Competition "No Ballet" in Ludwigshafen. He was nominated for the "ITs Krisztina de Châtel Award" in Amsterdam/ Netherlands with his duet "The one we act, the other we are", choreographed for Milan Kampfer and himself. He was twice a semi-finalist at the "International Choreographic Competition Hanover" in Germany.<br /><br />For his work "Babylon" he received a scholarship from TANZAllianz, a cooperation between UnterwegsTheater Heidelberg and Theater- und Orchester Heidelberg. His latest works "baby on fire" and "untold paradox" were performed live and online at LOT-Theater e.V. Braunschweig. His therapeutic knowledge and cultural heritage are inherent components of inspiration in his work.<br /><br />As a guest lecturer he has performed at various city and state theatres in Germany and teaches for the artists' agency ZAV. In 2016 he was guest professor at the Shenzhen Arts School (China) in cooperation with TanzArt OstWest and Tanzcompagnie Gießen under the direction of Tarek Assam.<br /><br />In 2021 Tillmann choreographed and performed TV Idents for 3sat, a German television channel with a cultural focus. Since 2022 he has been touring with the Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov and danced the opening of the Festival d'Avignon in collaboration with the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Gogol Center Moscow. <br /><br />For the season 2022/2023, Tillmann has been engaged as <a href="https://www.staatstheater-kassel.de/person/2725" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rehearsal director</a> for the dance company of the Staatstheater Kassel / TANZ_KASSEL under the artistic direction of Thorsten Teubl.<br />For the 2023/2024 season, Tillmann has been engaged as guest rehearsal director for the dance company of the Staatstheater Braunschweig under the artistic direction of Gregor Zöllig. <br /><br />Most recently, he has assisted choreographer Sita Ostheimer in her productions at Volkstheater Rostock, Theater Pforzheim, Staatstheater Kassel, Staatstheater Braunschweig and for Xiexin Dance Theater in Shanghai, China.<br /><br />This summer, Tillmann will return to China as an independent artist to teach at the Shanghai Xiexin Dance Theatre's 2024 "VANGUARD BODY International Workshop".</p>
