Alexander Sinan Binder

Alexander Sinan Binder studied orchestral conducting at Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf with Prof. Rüdiger Bohn and piano with Prof. Paolo Giacometti, additionally he studied parts of his Master of Music at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Prof. Johannes Schlaefli.<br /> Besides that he was a fellow of ‚Dirigentenforum des Deutschen Musikrates‘ and currently is part of the ‚Akademie Musiktheater heute‘ fellowship of Deutsche Bank Stiftung.<br /> He took part in Masterclasses and Workshops e.g. with David Zinman, Bernard Haitink (passive), John Carewe, Yuri Simonov, Peter Eötvös, Colin Metters, Peter Gülke as well as his latest invitation to Stefan Asbury’s Conducting Seminar at Tanglewood Music Center.<br /> <br /> Engagements as assistant conductor led Alexander e.g. to Deutsche Oper am Rhein «Das Zauberwort», Warsaw Autumn Festival: European Workshop for Contemporary Music, «Mathis der Maler» production as assistant of GMD Hermann Bäumer at Staatstheater Mainz, «Hänsel und Gretel» production of Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland as assistant of GMD Patrick Lange,  to Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen as assistant of GMD Rasmus Baumann and to Junge Deutsche Philharmonie as assistant of Ingo Metzmacher for the «Sax & Crime Tour 2018».<br /> <br /> Alexander Sinan Binder is very much involved in both symphonic and operatic repertoire. During his career he already had the chance to work with internationally renowned orchestras such as Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, Lucerne Festival Strings, WDR Funkhausorchester, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Mainz, Staatsoperette Dresden, Staatskapelle Halle, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, amongst others.<br /> Moreover he has a high affinity to modern and contemporary music which made him found <em>Ensemble Revision</em>, a contemporary music ensemble which he had his debut at Mozartfest Würzburg 2018 with.<br /> <br /> Since the 2018/19 season Alexander holds the position as conductor and pianist at Luzerner Theater  where he works with Lucerne Symphony Orchestra. In the current season 2019/20 he conducts his debut at Lucerne Festival with «Ouverture dans la nuit» (UA), assists and conducts «Salome» and conducts the premiere of a new production of «Eugene Onegin».
