Maria Focaraccio is an Italian dance artist based in Berlin. She works as a dancer for Imperfect Dancers Company (IT), Fattoria Vittadini (IT), C&C Company (IT), Tanztheater Erfurt (DE).<br />As a choreographer she creates „Storie Brevi-nulla di troppo intimo“ (selected at Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore 2019), „Dia- Fantasie Ritmiche“ (2020) together with MariaGiulia Serantoni and „Ghosts Are My Reality“ (2023) with Katharina Scheidtmann and Theresa Maria Forthaus supported by ADA Studio (Berlin). She also creates choreographies for the Musical productions Rock of Ages (2019) and On Your Feet (2002) at Le Théâtre, Emmen (CH), directed by Silvio Wey and Carlotta Jarchow. <br />Since 2021 she has collaborated with Emanuele Rosa, with whom she creates „HOW TO _ just another Boléro“ and „all you need is“ and founds the collective EM+.<br />After graduating in Philosophy at the University of Pisa, Maria is currently studying Tanzwissenschaft (Critical Dance Studies) at the Freie Universität in Berlin (DE).
