Bas Timmers is a skilled musical actor. He studied “Music theatre” at the Brabants Conservatorium (current Fontys Conservatorium) in Tilburg, where he graduated in 2000 as the very first of the very first class. During his education he played “Ross” in Macbeth and “Padre” in Man of la Mancha, both at Foundation Theater Plan in Eindhoven, and “Jesus” in Jesus Christ Superstar (Foundation Jokola).
After his training Bas went to work for Opus One, as “Father of Belle” in Beauty and the Beast, and the snake “Kaa” in Jungle Book. In 2003 he joined Studio 100 for the musical Sleeping Beauty, as “Count” and understudy “King”. This was his third consecutive family musical. Then it was time for something else: a sung-through musical drama abroad. It was Elisabeth (Stage Entertainment) in Stuttgart (Germany) where he made his debut as a swing and also understudied role of “Luigi Lucheni”.
